What you will learn

Wine tasting is easier than you think. In this introductory natural wine workshop, we’ll take you through the process of tasting wine step by step.

Then you’ll learn how natural wine differs from other wines, and why it tastes the way it does. (Fresh, funky, glou glou? Green, reductive, or dare we say, mousy?)

By the end of this 2.5-hour natural wine class, you’ll be ready to hit your favourite natural wine bar in Barcelona, talk to the somms like a seasoned pro and finally tell them why you liked that orange wine so much.

How does it work

This 2.5-hour natural wine workshop includes a guided tasting of 5 natural wines to illustrate the class themes at hand. This way, you drink while you learn, and you learn while you drink. It also includes access to the class presentations and a tasting sheet to take home with you.

WHY IS IT DIFFERENT FROM
OTHER WINE COURSES

Most introductory wine-tasting classes focus on the easy tricks of the conventional wine trade. “How great does that barrel smell?” “Is that peach or apricot?” “And the legs on this baby? Out of this world!”

At Suc Suc, we break it down to the wine in hand. We keep it light-hearted, but we really get into the thick of it.

What the hell is a tannin, and what does it taste like? What do people mean when they say “this natural wine is funky”? And what does a mouse have to do with natural wine?

Our goal is for you to put words to what you like so that you feel comfortable tasting wine in your own way.
